An established Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company is looking for a Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes for PCB/CCA, box-build and electro-mechanical assemblies.
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving problems on the production floor and working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype through production launch
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis
- Improve quality, throughput, yield and process reliability
- Develop work instructions, process specifications and manufacturing documentation
- Support tooling, fixtures, equipment and manufacturing cells
- Participate in continuous improvement, CAPA and process improvement projects
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field
- At least 10 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with PCB/CCA,
electronics or box-build manufacturing
- Experience with NPI/product launches
- Solid troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to read drawings, schematics and BOMs
- Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment
- Lean/Six Sigma, IPC/J-STD, PLM/MES experience is an asset
Security clearance eligibility is required due to the company's defense/aerospace-related work.
