Position: Seasonal ManagementAbout the RoleCamp Klahanie is looking for a friendly, responsible and organized Seasonal Campground Store & Guest Services Manager to join us for our camping season in beautiful Magnetawan, Ontario.This is an ideal chance for someone who enjoys working with people, spending the summer in a campground environment and taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of a small campground store.Our Store Manager will be an important part of the campground experience. You'll get to know our seasonal campers and visitors, help keep the store running smoothly and be a welcoming point of contact for our camping community.Seasonal ScheduleThe position runs from May 1st to Sept 12th. Weekends only during May, June and September. July and August is 14 days on, 14 days off schedule.May, June and September: Primarily weekend work, with additional hours as required for opening, closing, stocking and campground needs.July and August: This is our peak season and requires full-time availability throughout the week, including weekends and holidays. A part-time student employee may be hired to assist with store coverage and provide additional support.Because this is a seasonal campground management position,



applicants should expect the summer months—particularly July and August—to be the busiest part of the job. We are planning on a 14 day on / 14 day off shift rotation from June 24th to Sept 6, 2027ResponsibilitiesThe Store Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the campground store and will help create a welcoming experience for our campers. Responsibilities may include:

- Opening and closing the campground store
- Providing friendly customer service to campers and visitors
- Operating the cash/POS system and handling daily sales
- Maintaining accurate cash and transaction records
- Ordering, receiving and stocking merchandise
- Shopping in person at the local town (Perry Sound, Burks Falls, etc.) for inventory items.
- Gas sales: We sell marine gas so must be physically able to pump the gas at the store dock as boaters require.
- Monitoring inventory and identifying products that need to be reordered
- Keeping the store clean, organized and inviting
- Helping campers with general questions and directing concerns to the appropriate person
- Hiring, supervising and scheduling a part-time student assistant during the peak summer season
- Working with the Camp Klahanie management/ownership team




- Helping identify opportunities to improve the store and camper experience
- Clean the 2 store bathrooms daily and the shower house prior to the store opening daily. This is a moderately physical task.
- Assisting with other reasonable campground duties when required

You are comfortable being given responsibility and don't require someone to supervise every decision.Organized. You can manage inventory, cash, schedules and the everyday details that keep a store running smoothly.Comfortable leading others. You'll provide direction and support to a part-time student employee during the busy summer months.Previous experience in retail, hospitality, campground operations, customer service, tourism or management would be an asset, but finding the right person for our campground community is equally important.Compensation & AccommodationCompensation is expected to be approximately $30/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, schedule and the final scope of the position.On-site accommodation may also be available as part of the arrangement. Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 50.0 per week
