Western Fair District is looking for enthusiastic, dependable and team-oriented individuals to join our Sports Centre team!

Our Sports Centre is a busy, multi-use recreation facility that brings people together through ice sports, programming, rentals and community activities. Our team plays an significant role in keeping the facility safe, clean, welcoming and ready for the many people who use it throughout the year.

We are currently recruiting for several full-time and part-time opportunities. Whether you have arena operations experience, hold a recognized Facility Operator certification or are looking to get started in facility operations, we may have a role for you.

Current Opportunities

Full-Time Facility Operator – B Certified

We are seeking an experienced Facility Operator who holds the required B certification and can support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Sports Centre. This role involves arena and ice operations, monitoring facility systems, performing maintenance and ensuring a safe and reliable environment for staff, customers and facility users.

Full-Time Facility Operator – Non-B Certified

We are looking for a hands-on individual to support daily arena operations and facility maintenance. Candidates without B certification are welcome to apply, provided they have the relevant experience, skills or willingness to develop their knowledge of arena operations and facility systems.

Part-Time Facility Operator – B and Non-B Certified

We are recruiting part-time Facility Operators to support arena operations, facility maintenance and programming requirements. We welcome applications from both B-certified operators and individuals without B certification who have relevant experience or an interest in developing their skills in this field.

Part-Time Facility Attendant





This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the Sports Centre. Responsibilities include general cleaning and maintenance, setting up and removing equipment, preparing spaces for programs and events, and providing on-ice support during scheduled activities, including moving hockey nets and assisting drivers as required. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys active work and being part of a team.

Relevant arena operations, facility maintenance, custodial or customer service experience is an asset. Required certifications will depend on the position.
