Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting construction and excavation with reliable, well-maintained equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, skid steers, breakers, and other heavy-duty equipment and attachments. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong mechanical background with a passion for troubleshooting and hands-on repair work.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, mini dumpers, breakers, and other machines and attachments
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment components as needed
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery parts
- Diagnose issues related to hydraulics, electrical wiring, and HVAC components on industrial equipment




- Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules
- Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in safety meetings and training as required

Qualifications

- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair in a dealership or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of a variety of machine brands is an asset
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, skid steers, mini dumpers, and attachments
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, schematics reading, and assembly work
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and following technical manuals or schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs

Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
