We’re looking for a motivated Associate Insurance Advisor to join our Co-operators team in Timmins.

Your primary role will be helping clients with their home and auto insurance needs, from providing quotes and recommendations to servicing existing policies and developing new client relationships.

But the opportunity doesn’t stop there.

For someone who wants to grow, there is also the opportunity to earn additional commission-based income through commercial insurance, life insurance and investment opportunities, subject to applicable licensing.

What you'll be doing

You'll spend your day:

- Talking with new and existing clients about their insurance needs.
- Providing home and auto insurance quotes, advice and recommendations.
- Building relationships and delivering excellent ongoing client service.
- Looking for opportunities to help clients with additional insurance and financial needs.
- Prospecting and developing new business.
- Following underwriting guidelines and completing front-line risk assessments.
- Resolving client questions and concerns.
- Working towards individual sales, service, quality and productivity goals.
- Working closely with the rest of our team to provide a great client experience.

Previous insurance experience is an asset, but sales ability, relationship-building skills and the right attitude are extremely important to us.

Licensing & Experience

- One year of sales, customer service or related experience is preferred.
- An Ontario OTL insurance licence is preferred.
- If you are not currently licensed, you must be prepared to obtain the required licence within one- two months. We cover training and licensing fees.
- Knowledge of home and auto insurance is an asset.
- Previous sales experience is an asset.
- All applicable provincial licensing and continuing education requirements must be maintained.
