Superior Roofing Ltd. is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator / Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing commercial roofing and architectural metal division.

We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in custom metal fabrication, understands roofing and building-envelope applications, and can produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

● Fabricate custom sheet-metal components from drawings, measurements, sketches, and field dimensions

● Fabricate flashings, parapet caps, coping, fascia, trims, gutters, downspouts, scuppers, collector boxes and other roofing components

● Fabricate architectural metal panels and related accessories

● Operate brakes, shears, roll formers and other metal fabrication equipment

● Accurately measure, cut, bend and form sheet metal

● Work with galvanized steel, prefinished steel, aluminum and other common architectural metals

● Review measurements and fabrication requirements before production

● Coordinate with Project Managers, field crews and the metal department to ensure materials are fabricated correctly and on schedule

● Organize fabrication based on project priorities and installation schedules

● Maintain accurate material usage and minimize waste

● Perform quality-control checks before fabricated materials leave the shop

● Assist with material takeoffs and ordering when required

● Maintain an organized, clean and safe fabrication area

● Identify potential fabrication or measurement issues before materials are produced

● Help improve shop organization, production efficiency and fabrication standards

Qualifications

● Previous sheet-metal fabrication experience required

● Commercial roofing or architectural sheet-metal experience strongly preferred

● Strong understanding of custom flashing and roofing details





● Experience operating sheet-metal brakes, shears and fabrication equipment

● Ability to read drawings, measurements and shop details

● Strong mathematical and measuring skills

● Ability to fabricate accurately from field measurements

● Excellent attention to detail

● Strong organizational and time-management skills

● Ability to work independently and take ownership of production

● Valid driver’s licence preferred
