Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Customer Service professional to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks following established recipes and standards.
- Bake and prepare food.
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly service throughout their visit.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, food prep stations, and seating areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and serving.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Uphold food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Support team members with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements





- Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with POS system is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, basic math, and cashiering procedures.
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and maintaining food safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper hygiene protocols.
- Prior experience in the food industry or similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- MAPAQ certified (else training and certification will be done during the first quarter of employment).
