Audiovisual Truck Driver
About Phase 3
Phase 3 AV is a national supplier of full-service audiovisual production, specializing in video, lighting, sound, power and staging technologies for live events. Our trucks are the first and last touchpoint on every show we deliver.
About the Role
The Audiovisual Truck Driver moves our equipment safely and on time between our North York facility, venues across the GTA, and job sites beyond. This is not a drop-and-go driving job. You are part of the crew: loading, unloading, and helping set up and strike gear alongside our technicians. If a show starts late because a truck arrived late, the whole event feels it, so punctuality and communication matter as much as driving skill.
Key Responsibilities
On the Road
- Complete deliveries and pick-ups safely and on schedule
- Plan routes with road closures, traffic and weather in mind
- Communicate proactively with dispatch on delays, truck issues and changes
- Obey all moving and parking laws and follow company truck policies without exception
Loading and On Site
- Load and unload trucks, securing equipment properly for transport
- Assist with set-up and dismantle of audiovisual equipment
- Handle gear with the care and attention it requires
Vehicle and Equipment Care
- Complete daily truck logs and pre-trip inspections
- Monitor tires, lights, brakes, fuel and fluids, and report issues promptly
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized and show-ready
What Success Looks Like
- Trucks arrive when they are supposed to, loaded correctly, with nothing missing or damaged
- Dispatch always knows where you are and what is happening
- Crews on site see you as a working member of the team, not just the driver
- Zero preventable incidents, tickets or policy violations
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Ontario Class G license with a clean driving abstract
- Minimum two years of professional driving experience
- Comfortable operating trucks up to 26 feet
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Strong working knowledge of GTA roads and routes
- Able to follow instructions in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form
- Calm under pressure, adaptable to shifting priorities, detail-oriented
- Punctual and reliable
Assets
- Previous AV or event production experience
- Basic familiarity with audiovisual equipment
