Overview

- The Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper supports daily kitchen operations by keeping dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for service.
- This hands-on role also assists with basic food preparation and meal preparation while following established food safety and sanitation practices.
- Restaurant, kitchen, or food service experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for role-specific procedures.

Duties

- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Put clean items away in their designated storage areas and maintain an organized dishwashing station.
- Assist with food preparation and meal preparation, such as washing produce, portioning ingredients, and completing other assigned prep tasks.
- Support cooks and other team members during service, including helping with basic cooking tasks as directed.
- Follow protected food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean, and promptly address spills or other hazards.
- Help receive,



move, and store food and supplies according to kitchen procedures.
- Assist with serving or other food service tasks when needed.
- Work cooperatively with the kitchen team and follow instructions from supervisors.

Qualifications

- Ability to work reliably in a busy kitchen and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to follow directions, maintain a clean work area, and observe food safety and sanitation practices.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work respectfully as part of a team.
- Kitchen experience, restaurant experience, food service experience, or experience in the food industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with food handling, food preparation, meal preparation, or cooking is helpful.
- Serving experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $18.25-$26.37 per hour

Expected hours: 18.25 per week
