Job Summary

The Host/Service Assistant creates a welcoming first impression and helps keep restaurant service running smoothly. This role supports guests from arrival through their dining experience by managing seating, assisting with service needs, and communicating clearly with guests and team members. The position is suited to someone who enjoys hospitality and takes pride in attentive, professional customer service.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly, manage the waitlist, and coordinate seating based on table availability and service flow.
- Answer guest questions and handle reservations or other inquiries with professional phone etiquette.
- Communicate wait times, seating updates, and guest requests clearly to the restaurant team.
- Assist servers with food service tasks, such as delivering dishes, clearing and resetting tables, and responding to guest needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized entrance and dining area.




- Use the restaurant’s POS system to support service operations and process relevant transactions as assigned.
- Help ensure guests receive prompt, courteous service throughout their visit.

Qualifications

- Robust customer service, communication, and guest services skills.
- A friendly, professional approach and genuine interest in hospitality.
- Ability to stay organized, attentive, and composed in a busy restaurant environment.
- Serving, food service, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is helpful; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and follow service and cleanliness standards.

Pay: From $16.90 per hour
