We're Growing in Edmonton!

Tipsy Trivia is rapidly expanding across Edmonton, and we're looking for energetic, confident, and reliable people to join our hosting team!

We produce live Trivia, Music Bingo, Name That Tune, Karaoke, themed entertainment, tournaments, and private events at bars, restaurants, and other venues.

We're looking for entertainers, not just people who can read questions into a microphone.

Our hosts bring personality, humour, enthusiasm, and energy to every event. Whether you're running a competitive trivia night, getting a crowd singing along, or hosting a packed Music Bingo event, your job is to make the experience memorable.

If you're comfortable on a microphone, enjoy performing, and know how to work a crowd, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing

- Hosting live Trivia, Music Bingo, Name That Tune, Karaoke, and themed events
- Entertaining and engaging audiences of all sizes
- Bringing personality, humour, and enthusiasm to every event
- Managing event timing, music, presentations, and transitions
- Operating our provided software using your own laptop
- Connecting your laptop to TVs, projectors, and venue sound systems
- Working professionally with venue staff and the Tipsy Trivia team
- Travelling to different venues throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Setting up, running, and wrapping up events independently

We provide the games, content, software, training, and support. You bring the personality and performance!

Equipment & Technical Requirements

All applicants must have:

- A reliable Windows laptop with an HDMI connection or compatible adapter
- No Chromebooks — our event software and setup require a suitable laptop
- Basic proficiency using Windows, including switching between programs, browser tabs, and applications




- Ability to manage multiple screens using extended or duplicated displays
- Confidence connecting a laptop to external TVs, projectors, and sound systems
- A smartphone with mobile data
- A reliable personal vehicle to travel between venues throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas

Windows laptops are strongly preferred. Mac users may be considered if they can confidently manage our technical setup.

You don't need to be an IT expert, but you do need to be comfortable troubleshooting basic technology independently.

Availability & Scheduling

We're looking for hosts with flexible and consistent availability.

- Availability across multiple evenings each week
- Ability to work different days, start times, and venue locations
- Strong availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends
- Willingness to travel to different locations throughout the city
- Ability to commit to regular weekly events when scheduled
- Preference for applicants interested in staying with us for at least six months

Most events take place in the evenings, although private and corporate bookings may have different schedules.

Who We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have experience in:

- Live hosting, emceeing, or performing
- Karaoke hosting, singing, or DJing
- Theatre, improv, comedy, or entertainment
- Radio, podcasting, streaming, or public speaking
- Teaching, bartending, serving, or customer service

Karaoke hosts and confident singers are especially encouraged to apply!

We're expanding our karaoke entertainment and would love to find people who are comfortable singing, performing, encouraging audience participation, and keeping a room entertained.





Previous hosting experience is an asset, but personality, reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn matter just as much.
