National Apartment Council

Burlington

In-Office Sales Role (Burlington, ON) | $55,000–$75,000 Base + Bonus | Full-Time | Strong English Communication Skills Required | Sales Experience Required

This is a sales role: you'll raise money for the National Apartment Council by selling memberships to apartment developers and building strong relationships with them, so that together we can drive real improvements across the industry.

This is a full-time, in-office role at our Burlington office, near Appleby Line and the QEW, Monday to Friday. Candidates must live in the Burlington or Oakville area.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential for this role, which requires daily phone conversations and frequent, direct communication with senior decision-makers.

Before applying, please make sure you're available for both in-person interview days: Friday, November 13 and Monday, November 16, 2026.

Message us on Indeed to set up a quick intro Zoom call, so we can start the conversation and see if you're a good fit.

About the Role

You'll work alongside our Founder, an entrepreneur and apartment broker with 35+ years of experience in the Canadian apartment development industry. Relationships are the core of this work, but this role also needs someone who can close. Your main focus is raising money for the National Apartment Council through memberships and sponsorships: you'll connect with developers and industry partners, make the ask, close the sale, and keep the relationship strong afterwards.

Persistence is key in this role. We're here to talk to people and make ourselves known, so you can't be afraid to pick up the phone, make the next call, and keep following up until you get an answer.

What You'll Do

- Get on the phones every day and build relationships with apartment developers, investors, and industry partners across Canada
- Stay persistent: keep making calls, keep following up, and keep putting the National Apartment Council's name in front of the right people
- Sell National Apartment Council memberships to developers and secure sponsorships from industry partners
- Be the fact-finder: research prospects, ask the right questions, and bring back the full picture
- Manage your own pipeline and keep every follow-up on time, every time
- Represent the National Apartment Council at our monthly events, networking sessions, and presentations
- Use AI tools to prepare, engage prospects, and move faster
- Support the Founder and leadership team on whatever the organization needs that week

────────────────────────

What You Must Bring

- Strong,

proven sales experience. This role requires it.
- Strong on the phone and in person. You speak confidently with senior decision-makers.
- Confidence to talk to anybody. You have a natural presence, you don't back down, and you're never afraid to pick up the phone.
- A natural fact-finder. You're curious, detail-oriented, and you dig until you understand the full picture.
- Impeccable follow-up. You do what you say you'll do, when you say you'll do it.
- A genuine personality. You build trust with high-end clients and developers by being real, not scripted.
- Comfort working with a Founder and entrepreneur. You keep pace with a rapid-moving leader and enjoy it.
- Adaptability. Priorities shift, and you shift with them.
- AI literacy. You already use AI tools comfortably in your day-to-day work.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills. This role requires daily phone conversations and frequent, direct communication with senior decision-makers.
- Enthusiasm and persistence. You bring energy every day and don't give up after the first "no."
- Schedule flexibility. You can make our monthly events and the occasional commitment outside standard hours.
- Location. You live in the Burlington or Oakville area and can be in the office five days a week.

Ideal Candidate

Most importantly, you have a robust sales background and know how to sell. Experience raising money, through fundraising, sponsorships, memberships, or donor relations, is a huge asset.

Some understanding of the real estate industry is a bonus. If you're thinking about becoming a real estate broker one day, this is a great chance to work side by side with an experienced apartment broker and learn the industry from the inside.

Please note: this role isn't a fit for active real estate agents or anyone planning to run a real estate practice alongside it.
