Responsibilities:

Assist the ophthalmologist during cataract surgery procedures.

Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Ensure the surgical environment is clean, organized, and ready for procedures.

Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection prevention and control protocols.

Handle surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with established procedures.

Anticipate the physician's needs during surgical procedures and provide efficient support.

Follow established sterilization, equipment handling and safety protocol.

Work collaboratively with the ophthalmologist and surgical team to support efficient operating room workflow.

Qualifications:

Previous surgical or operating room experience is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialized surgical setting.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to learn specialized ophthalmic surgical techniques and equipment.
