Papa John's Pizza is looking for a motivated, responsible, and hardworking Assistant Manager to join our team in Calgary.

We are seeking someone who has strong leadership skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and can help maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, and daily operations.

As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, supervise team members, and ensure the store operates efficiently while meeting company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate team members to maintain strong performance.
- Manage shifts independently and ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Monitor food quality, preparation standards, and order accuracy.
- Ensure excellent customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
- Manage employee schedules, breaks, and shift assignments.
- Monitor and improve service times, including make times, out-the-door times, and delivery performance.
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and controlling food costs and waste.
- Handle cash, deposits, and daily financial procedures accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Help achieve store sales, labour, and operational performance targets.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Previous experience in a restaurant, fast-food, or quick-service workplace is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is considered an asset.
- Robust leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
- Basic understanding of inventory, cash handling, and labour management.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform restaurant duties as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
