JBC Transport is seeking an experienced lead hand to join it's crossdock operations

In this role the successful candidate would work in support of the supervisor to maintain a process driven operation whilst directing a crew of forklift operators.

Shift: Monday - Friday 12:00 - 20:30

Approx 40-50 hours per week

Requirements:

- Valid Forklift license with SCB experience
- 2 years experience in a supervisory based role
- LTL cross docking
- Outbound loading
- Transport weight regulations
- Google suite knowledge
- Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- A team mentality
- As400 experience is an asset
- Safety training is an asset
- Team oriented

Job description:





- Assist in running an efficient warehouse which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand while adhering to preset targets and schedules
- Ensure that lifting and maneuvering of all freight is carried out in accordance with handling procedures for safe and damage free shipments
- Directing and motivating operators
- Aiding in forklift duties
- Maintaining spreadsheets, email correspondence and equipment records
- Communicate with all operational teams
- Cover the supervisor during leave dates
- Training new operators
- Aiding in Maintaining the work yard and warehouse

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
