The Role

We are hiring a Supply Chain Manager to build and run the planning engine behind our portfolio of 70+ SKUs, sold through provincial distributors across Canada and export partners internationally.

This is a hands-on role. You will own demand forecasting, supply planning, purchasing, inventory control, and packaging and label supply. You will also put in place the systems and processes that let us plan with confidence as we grow.

Success in this role looks like accurate forecasts, fewer stockouts and less excess inventory, packaging and labels that arrive on time and meet every market's rules, and Production, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Product Development working from one shared plan.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

- Build and maintain SKU-level forecasts using sales history, provincial distributor orders, export commitments, promotions and new product launches.
- Run a monthly demand review with Sales & Marketing to agree on one forecast.
- Track forecast accuracy and bias and use results to improve the forecast over time.

Planning Systems & Process

- Assess, select and implement demand planning and inventory management tools, or build structured planning models where a full system isn't yet the right fit.
- Establish a monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) cycle that links demand, production, purchasing and inventory.
- Define and report supply chain KPIs, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, stockouts and on-time supplier delivery.

Inventory Management

- Design the in-house inventory structure: SKU segmentation, stocking rules, locations and cycle counts.
- Set and maintain safety stock levels and reorder points for finished goods, packaging and materials.
- Monitor slow-moving, aged and obsolete inventory and drive action plans to reduce it.

Supply Planning & Purchasing

- Translate the forecast into production plans with Production and Operations, balancing capacity, cultivation timelines and lead times.

- Issue and manage purchase orders for packaging, labels, materials and services.
- Manage supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and performance.

Packaging Sourcing & Label Supply

- Source, evaluate and negotiate with packaging suppliers for bottles, jars, pouches, boxes, cases and other components.
- Optimize packaging configurations (unit, inner case, outer case, pallet) for cost, freight and distributor requirements.
- Oversee label printing, ordering and inventory, ensuring the right approved labels are in stock for each SKU and market.
- Work with Regulatory and Quality to confirm packaging and labels meet Health Canada Cannabis Regulations and provincial distributor requirements.

Export & International Supply

- Plan supply and packaging for export markets, including Australia, Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom.
- Ensure export packaging, labelling and documentation meet the strict requirements of each importing country, including import and export permits and GMP standards where they apply.
- Coordinate export shipments with Regulatory, Quality, freight forwarders and international partners.

Product Development Support

- Plan and deliver samples, prototype packaging and pilot materials to the Product Development team on schedule.
- Bring new SKUs into the forecast and supply plan ahead of launch to avoid shortfalls or excess stock.

Logistics & Distributor Compliance

- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and 3PLs.
- Ensure orders, deliveries and documentation comply with provincial distributor vendor policies and supply agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

This role sits at the centre of the business, so strong communication is as important as strong planning. You will work daily with:

- Production and Operations to align production schedules, capacity and material availability.
- Sales to understand provincial and export demand, listings and order timing.
- Marketing to plan for launches, promotions and packaging changes.
- Product Development to plan samples and bring new products to market on time.
- Quality and Regulatory to keep packaging, labels and export shipments compliant.
- Finance to manage inventory value, purchasing budgets and cost of goods.

You will explain plans, risks and trade-offs clearly to people at every level, flag issues early, and follow through until they are resolved.

Qualifications

Required

- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, purchasing or inventory management.
- Experience planning a multi-SKU portfolio in a CPG, cannabis, alcohol, or food and beverage environment.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, forecasting models) and experience with an ERP or inventory system.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into transparent plans and decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a track record of working across departments.
- Strong organization and attention to detail when managing many SKUs, suppliers and deadlines at once.

Preferred

- Experience implementing or improving a demand planning or inventory system.
- Experience with packaging sourcing and label supply in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, provincial distributor requirements, or export compliance.
- ASCM (APICS) CPIM, Supply Chain Canada certification, or similar.
