Service Technician

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | $21.00/hour
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

We are currently seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Service Technician to join a busy service department. This is a full time opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things properly, and has strong attention to detail.

The Service Technician will assist with the inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of lifesaving marine equipment while following manufacturer specifications and established safety practices. Responsibilities

- Inspect equipment for damage, defects, and required repairs
- Service, repair, and maintain lifesaving marine equipment
- Ensure required parts and materials are available before beginning work
- Complete and update equipment checklists accurately
- Assist with equipment certification and recertification documentation
- Monitor inventory, tools, equipment, and spare parts
- Assist with shipping and receiving
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment
- Report safety concerns promptly
- Provide friendly, professional customer service

Qualifications





- Previous general labour or mechanically related experience is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence preferred
- Trades diploma or Marine Service Technician certification is considered an asset
- Shipping and receiving experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Able to learn quickly and work well under pressure

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be comfortable performing hands-on, physical work and be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. The position can involve crouching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, repetitive movements, and working in conditions that may include dirt, dust, fumes, noise, heat, cold, tight spaces, and inclement weather.
