The Eye Clinic Mississauga

Mississauga

Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator & Optical/Vision Therapy Assistant

The Eye Clinic Mississauga is a warm, family-focused optometry clinic in Port Credit dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a welcoming and supportive setting. We are looking for a Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator to join our close-knit team in a varied, hands-on role that combines patient care, clinic coordination, optical styling, and vision therapy support.

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely loves working with people, enjoys variety in their day, and takes pride in creating meaningful patient experiences. Our ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn — someone who can move comfortably between administrative tasks, clinical support, helping patients find eyewear they love, and working with children in vision therapy.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Patient Care & Administration: Welcoming patients and families, managing check-ins and checkouts, answering phones, booking appointments, maintaining accurate records, and helping the clinic run smoothly.
- Clinical Support: Performing pre-testing and diagnostic imaging, including auto-refraction, iCare tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT, axial length measurements, and visual field testing.
- Optical & Frame Styling: Helping patients select frames that suit their style, facial features, lifestyle, and prescription needs; discussing eyewear and lens options; supporting glasses sales, orders, and dispensing alongside our opticians.
- Vision Therapy Support: Assisting with therapy activities under the direction of our vision therapy team, preparing materials, encouraging patients throughout their sessions, and helping create a positive learning environment.
- Teamwork & Patient Experience: Supporting doctors and colleagues,

maintaining an organized clinic and optical, and creating a welcoming, family-friendly experience for patients of all ages.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

- Genuinely enjoys connecting with people and making patients feel comfortable and cared for.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in accuracy.
- Enjoys a mix of administrative, hands-on clinical, and customer-facing responsibilities.
- Has an interest in fashion, styling, and eyewear.
- Is patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with children and families.
- Communicates well, learns quickly, and adapts easily in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes initiative, works well with a team, and is always willing to help where needed.
- Is looking for a long-term career opportunity, is excited to grow with our team, and is eager to learn, take on new responsibilities, and develop skills in different areas of the clinic.

Previous experience in optometry, healthcare, optical retail, vision therapy, or customer service is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person. We value warmth, emotional intelligence, accountability, curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn just as much as experience.

What We Offer

- Full-time hours and competitive pay based on experience.
- Dental, extended health, and vision care benefits.
- Paid time off and on-site parking.
- A supportive, collaborative team environment.

- Hands-on training and opportunities to grow in patient care, optical, and vision therapy.
- Exposure to advanced diagnostic technology and a variety of optometric services.
