Our manufacturing client in St. Thomas, ON is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their collaborative team. In this position, you will play an integral role within a close-knit local accounting department, handling full-cycle month-end close activities, general ledger accounting, and partnering with operations and department leaders to provide valuable financial insight.

Responsibilities:

- Lead month-end close activities and deliver post-close reporting to department managers.
- Prepare and process general journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist department managers with cost center reporting and variance analysis.




- Manage prepaid expenses and track CapEx spending against budgets in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Oversee inventory valuation and execute month-end inventory adjustments.
- Collaborate with and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Partner cross-functionally with senior operations leaders and shared accounting groups.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of general accounting experience at the intermediate or senior level (ideally gained in a mid-sized to larger organization).
- CPA designation completed or actively enrolled and near completion.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 is an asset.
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills.
