Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Ontario secondary science teacher fluent in Mandarin to support Grade 9–12 students. You must be deeply familiar with the Ontario Ministry of Education science curriculum and course expectations across different school boards. You will help students map out learning progress, clarify core concepts, fill knowledge gaps, and prepare for quizzes, unit tests and final assessments. Mandarin is required to communicate and explain complex scientific ideas clearly for our Chinese-background students.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver science instruction aligned with the Ontario Grade 9–12 curriculum: SNC1W, SNC2D, SBI3U/4U, SCH3U/4U, SPH3U/4U, etc.Job Bank /...
- Create customized learning plans, track each student’s progress, and help them stay on track with school board pacing schedules
- Break down difficult science terminology, theories and exam key points using both English and Mandarin
- Assess student strengths & weaknesses, provide targeted review, practice questions and feedback
- Communicate student progress with parents (Mandarin-speaking families) regularly
- Prepare lesson notes, summary sheets, unit reviews and exam prep materials following Ontario assessment standards
- Keep updated on curriculum changes, evaluation policies and requirements of major GTA school boards (TDSB, YRDSB, DDSB, etc.)

Requirements

- Strong mastery of Ontario Grade 9–12 secondary science curriculum, familiar with expectations of different Ontario school boards
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (Mandarin is a mandatory requirement for this role)




- Bachelor’s degree in Science / Education or related field; OCT certification is a strong asset (not mandatory if tutoring/academic coaching track)
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring Ontario high school science is preferred
- Clear communication skills, patient, good at explaining abstract science concepts
- Able to prepare structured progress trackers and key knowledge summaries for students
- Familiar with Ontario science textbooks and assessment style (Nelson etc.) is a plusJob Bank

任职要求

✅ 熟悉安省 9–12 年级科学课程大纲，了解大多伦多各教育局教学节奏与考核特点

✅ 中英文流利，必须会中文（普通话）

✅ 科学、教育相关本科及以上；持有 OCT 教师资格证优先（辅导路线可放宽）

✅ 有安省本地高中科学授课 / 辅导经验优先

✅ 擅长拆解知识点，耐心，擅长做学习规划、进度跟踪

✅ 熟悉 Nelson 等安省主流科学教材为佳

Pay: $18.25-$30.00 per hour
