Overview
We are seeking a part time - 2 days a week onsite Fractional Senior HR Consultant to provide experienced, flexible human resources leadership and hands-on support for our client navigating growth, change, or evolving workforce needs. This role partners with HR Director to strengthen HR operations, improve employee and candidate experiences, and deliver practical, compliant solutions. The consultant may support multiple projects with priorities and schedules aligned to business needs.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert guidance on complex matters and help move higher-level priorities forward.
- Deal with ER matters, grievances, collective agreement interpretation, sensitive employee situations and other challenging union-related matters.
- Bring strong investigation expertise and documentation, judgment and efficiency on complex investigations.
- Act as a trusted senior sounding board to help assess risk, evaluate options and make timely, confident decisions.




- Provide practical guidance on labour relations strategy and operating effectively within a challenging unionized environment.
- Advise on Ontario employment, human rights, H&S;, accommodations/return-to-work, policy matters and outstanding priorities such as AODA planning.

Qualifications:

- Must have significant experience leading HR in a unionized/not-for-profit environment.
- Robust preference for someone who has worked within an organization where HR resources are lean and leaders wear multiple hats.
- Deep hands-on expertise in labour/employee relations, collective agreements, grievances and workplace investigations.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment, human rights and health & safety requirements.
- Pragmatic and hands-on, with advice that is practical and immediately applicable.

Pay: $50.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
