Responsibilities

- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over long distances or local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security equipment
- Utilize forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload freight efficiently and safely at warehouses or job sites
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers,



and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness and safety compliance

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securing techniques for flatbed transportation
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Robust understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to load/unload freight using forklifts or manual handling when necessary

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
