Overview

We are seeking a patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and therapeutic care in a welcoming dental practice. The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and committed to helping patients understand and maintain their oral health. Experience in a dental office is valued; interest in working with children or orthodontic patients are welcome.

Duties

- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and other services within the scope of licensure.
- Review patient health histories and document relevant findings, including medical terminology and clinical observations.
- Take dental radiographs as permitted by applicable regulations and practice protocols.
- Assess oral health, identify concerns, and communicate findings to the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations.
- Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and attentive customer service.
- Maintain accurate,



timely patient records and follow infection-control and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the dental team to support effective appointments and continuity of care.
- Assist with care for patients of different ages, including pediatric patients, and collaborate on orthodontic-related needs as appropriate.

Qualifications

- Current dental hygiene license in good standing in ontario.
- Current CPR certification and any other credentials required by state regulations.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
- Dental office experience preferred.
- Familiarity with dental assisting, orthodontics, or pediatrics is beneficial.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental infection-control practices.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
