Job Summary

- The Maintenance Attendant supports the safe, reliable operation of equipment and facilities in a manufacturing environment.
- This hands-on role performs routine maintenance, assists with troubleshooting and repairs, and helps keep work areas and equipment in good condition.
- The attendant works with production teams and other departments to respond to maintenance needs while providing professional, helpful customer service.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and clear communication in English are important. Leadership or supervising experience is a plus.

Duties

- Assist with preventative maintenance and work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs and patching vinyl.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance assignments.
- Assist with checking electrical systems, air conditioning controls, televisions and lighting, making minor repairs or replacements.
- Assist with routine and major repairs to hotel appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, tools and plumbing.
- Service the pool, adjust chemicals, clean filters and maintain work orders and logs.
- Maintain the building exterior through snow removal, lawn care, painting and gardening.
- Repair, paint and refinish guest room furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints and requests.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
- Operate heavy machinery.
- Keep hotel grounds clean and tidy in accordance with company policy.
- Dispose of garbage according to property policy.
- Check, clean and document pool upkeep, following chemical handling and health and safety requirements.
- Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance Schedule duties to property and company standards.
- Complete daily maintenance tasks to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with routine testing of fire alarms,



emergency lighting and related equipment.
- Update the supervisor on completed work to minimize room downtime and support profitability.
- Follow attendance rules and maintain regular availability.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The candidate must possess required skills and abilities:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a skilled appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

- Conserve energy and safely use and store materials, equipment and chemicals according to manufacturers’ instructions.
- Attend required meetings and contribute ideas and initiative.
- Help maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow the Crisis Communication Plan and refer media inquiries to the designated spokesperson.
- Follow security procedures to protect people, property and assets.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
