Role Overview

The Building and Grounds Supervisor is responsible for providing a secure and clean environment for all facility users and members of our community. They will oversee the maintenance of the facility and surrounding grounds to a high standard that meets the expectations of the DLCC Board.

Qualifications

- Experience in a role involving building maintenance or groundskeeping.
- Attention to detail and a proven ability to complete tasks to a deadline.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency with email and other forms of communication.
- Experience supervising casual staff is an asset.

Responsibilities

- Complete daily janitorial responsibilities.
- Procure equipment and supplies, placing orders and accepting deliveries as needed.




- Perform routine maintenance of Club, including minor repairs.
- Mow, weed, trim, plant and otherwise care for the surrounding grounds.
- Maintain soccer and baseball fields.
- Clear snow to maintain safe access to the Club.
- Liaise with trades people as needed.
- Assist with hiring and supervising seasonal staff.
- Communicate with the Board of Directors and community in person and via email and phone.

Reports to Director, Building and Grounds

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
