Our client in the transportation industry is seeking a detail-oriented Interline Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary contract. This role is ideal for someone with transportation industry experience, strong numerical accuracy, and an understanding of freight invoicing and accounts payable processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing invoices, reviewing interline payable costs, matching payable transactions, and processing electronic approvals to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

- Audit and review invoices for accuracy, discrepancies, and appropriate charges.
- Perform interline payable costing and verify transportation-related charges.
- Match interline payable invoices and supporting documentation against relevant records.
- Review and process EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) approvals.
- Complete manual invoice reviews and processing when required.
- Identify discrepancies and investigate billing or rate-related issues.
- Enter and verify invoice information in the transportation management system.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.

Experience

- Previous experience in accounts payable, invoice auditing, freight billing, or rate auditing.
- Experience working in the transportation,



trucking, or logistics industry is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with interline payable processes, costing, and invoice matching is an asset.
- Experience using Truckmate or a similar transportation management system is preferred.
- Understanding of EDI transactions and electronic invoice approvals is an asset.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.
