Part time Collection & Sorting Worker

$20.50/hour - Approximately 12 to 14 hours hours per week

Kootenay Carshare Cooperative is looking for a reliable, independent person to join our Refundables Initiative!

KCC collects and sorts refundable beverage containers from local collection sites, helping keep recyclable materials out of the waste stream while supporting a local community cooperative.

The schedule

- Five collection days per week, Monday to Saturday, with some flexibility in choosing the days.
- Afternoon collections between 3:45 PM and 5:30 PM.
- 1.5 to 2 paid hours per collection day.
- An additional 3.5 hours of sorting per week, scheduled separately.

What you'll do

- Drive KCC's pickup truck for collections.
- Load, transport and unload refundable containers.
- Help our team sort materials at our sorting facility.




- Keep collection and sorting areas organized.

We're looking for someone who

- Is dependable and available for regular afternoon collections.
- Has a valid driver's licence.
- Is comfortable with physical work and working outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Can work independently.
- Enjoys contributing to a practical, community-focused environmental initiative.

Position details

- $20.50 per hour.
- Approximately 12 - 14 hours weekly.
- KCC vehicle provided for collections.
