Solar X is a growing GTA home-energy company (solar), now launching a dedicated heat pump division — sold and installed across Ontario.

The Opportunity

We're building Ontario's first fully virtual heat pump operation — sold online, installed by a managed network across the province. We're hiring the founding technician. This starts at 2 days a week, but the role is designed to grow: as install volume ramps, so do your hours, your bonus cheques, and your scope — from qualifier to full-time lead to running the division. If you've ever wanted to build something instead of just wrenching for someone else, this is the seat.

The Role

- Act as our qualifying licensed technician for residential heat pump installations.
- Supervise and sign off on installations to ensure code compliance and quality.
- Support our Heating Contractor licence application and distributor trade-account setup.
- QA subcontractor installations as our installer network grows across Ontario cities.
- Advise on quoting, equipment selection, and install SOPs.

What You Bring





- An active Ontario 313A or 313D Certificate of Qualification in valuable standing (verifiable on the Skilled Trades Ontario public register).
- 5+ years residential HVAC installation experience; heat pump experience required.
- G2 gas licence a bonus, not required.
- Comfortable with technology — CRM, quoting tools, photo-based site assessments.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.

What We Offer

- $40/hour, 2 days per week to start — growing with volume.
- $250 per completed install you supervise — this is where the upside lives: at 5 installs a week, that's an extra $1,250/week on top of base.

Pay: $40.00 per hour
