Disposal Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator

We are a locally owned and operated waste management company based in Slave Lake, Alberta, providing disposal and waste collection services to residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers throughout the region.

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and motivated individual to join our team as a Disposal Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator.

This position plays an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations running efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating drivers, scheduling bin deliveries and pickups, communicating with customers, and assisting with general office and operational duties.

We operate a large fleet of disposal bins across multiple communities, along with waste hauling and transfer station services. Our operations can be fast-paced, and priorities can change throughout the day.

We're looking for someone who can think independently, solve problems, and stay organized while managing multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily schedules and dispatch trucks and drivers.
- Organize disposal bin deliveries, exchanges, pickups, and relocations.
- Receive customer calls, service requests, and inquiries.
- Track bin locations, availability, and scheduled services.
- Communicate with drivers to coordinate routes and respond to changing priorities.
- Assist with scheduling waste hauling and transfer station operations.
- Prepare and maintain dispatch records, work orders, and service documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, service updates,



and general inquiries.
- Assist with preparing quotes, tracking completed work, and providing information for billing.
- Work closely with management and field personnel to ensure productive daily operations.
- Help identify scheduling conflicts, equipment availability issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Confident and professional communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
- Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Dependable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.

Preferred but Not Required:

- Previous experience in dispatching, trucking, waste management, construction, or logistics.
- Familiarity with Slave Lake and surrounding communities.
- Experience coordinating drivers, equipment, or service schedules.
- General knowledge of commercial trucks, disposal bins, and waste hauling operations.
- Experience with customer service, or basic administrative duties.

Previous dispatch experience is an asset but not a requirement.
