Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their Sherwood Park team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This in-office role will oversee a high-volume accounts payable function, lead an established team, and support process improvements within a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and support the accounts payable team in daily operations.
Oversee high-volume invoice processing and weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timely vendor payments.
Assist with hands-on processing, manual entries, and complex exceptions as needed.
Manage workloads and priorities during peak periods, including month-end.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to procedures and workflows.
Prepare accounts payable reports and support dashboard development using Excel.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice, vendor, and payment discrepancies.
Support operational changes while maintaining team productivity and service levels.

Requirements:
At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in accounts payable.
Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Strong experience with high-volume invoice and payment processing.
Advanced Excel skills, including reporting and complex data analysis.
Experience in manual or partially automated accounts payable environments.
Familiarity with Sage 500, Vantagepoint, and Adobe.
Robust leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.




Availability to work on-site full-time, with flexibility during busy month-end periods.
