At the Bistro, we offer much more than a traditional cafeteria. Every day, we prepare fresh, flavourful and varied meals for employees working in our manufacturing facility and offices, in a welcoming environment where food quality and customer experience are at the heart of everything we do.

We are currently looking for a Cook to serve as the Chef’s right hand. This person will play a key role in organizing the Bistro’s daily operations, preparing meals and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service and hygiene.

What You’ll Do

Culinary Operations Support

- Actively participate in the planning, preparation and service of daily meals.

- Collaborate with the Chef on menu development.

- Prepare a variety of recipes, daily specials, breakfast items, snacks and baked goods, while also contributing to essential kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.

- Ensure the quality, presentation and consistency of all dishes served.

Coordination and Leadership

- Assist the Chef in organizing the kitchen’s daily activities.

- Take charge of certain operations in the Chef’s absence.

- Help maintain a positive, collaborative and efficient work environment.

- Support the onboarding and training of team members as needed.

Operations Management

- Complete kitchen setup and ensure workstations are properly stocked.

- Assist with receiving, storing and rotating supplies.

- Help monitor inventory and reduce food waste.

- Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety and occupational health and safety standards.

- Assist with daily service,



cleaning and dishwashing duties as required.

Customer Experience

- Provide courteous and professional service to our customers.

- Help make the Bistro a welcoming and enjoyable place for employees.

- Process customer transactions at the cash register when needed.

Requirements

- Diploma in Professional Cooking (DEP) or equivalent training.

- 3 to 5 years of kitchen experience, including demonstrated experience in a role involving responsibility or coordination.

- Good knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.

- Experience in institutional food service, a corporate cafeteria or food service operations is a strong asset.

- Experience with inventory management and purchasing is an asset.

- Familiarity with cash register systems and food service operations is an asset.
