Position Overview

We currently have an exciting role for a Lead Hand providing assistance to the Foreman at our Lethbridge location. We are looking for a results-oriented team member who demonstrates professionalism and is committed to providing exemplary public service. The primary responsibility of this role is general labour.

Key Responsibilities

- Onsite and offsite litter retrieval
- Public Drop off operations
- Sort household hazardous waste and electronic waste
- Act as a site attendant
- Assist with baler operations
- Snow shoveling
- Help with minor maintenance tasks
- General housekeeping
- Assist with operating leachate and surface water pumping systems
- Assist with environmental and compliance monitoring
- Ensure the safety of co-workers and the public at all times
- Spotting and traffic control

Qualifications

- General labour experience
- Operational experience would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a team setting
- First Aid, WHMIS, Defensive Driving and Alberta Temporary Traffic Control certification will be an asset
- Physical strength and dexterity
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Possession of a valid class 5 Operator’s license
