Part-time | Flexible hybrid schedule

ABOUT THE ROLE

Alito Pilates is looking for a Lead Instructor to help support our instructors, strengthen the quality and consistency of our classes, and contribute to a positive studio culture. This collaborative leadership role combines teaching with paid leadership and administrative work.

The schedule is flexible and includes both in-studio and off-site work. You will build and manage your own schedule, plan your workload, and coordinate around team meetings, workshops, events, and studio needs.

COMPENSATION

- $60 per class taught
- $30 per hour for Lead Instructor duties, including approved administrative and leadership work
- Lead hours are paid hourly. This role does not include a monthly stipend. Hours will vary with studio needs and agreed priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Teach safe, prepared, engaging Pilates classes with transparent cueing, purposeful progressions, and appropriate modifications.
- Model Alito’s teaching standards, including thoughtful spring choices, room awareness, and individualized coaching.
- Support instructors through onboarding, mentorship, communication, and constructive feedback.
- Help instructors coordinate class coverage and stay responsive when coverage is needed. Coverage is shared with the owner and team.
- Collaborate with the owner and management on class scheduling, programming, and changes informed by member feedback.
- Help identify continuing education opportunities, workshops, and ways to connect the team with the broader Pilates community.




- Plan and support studio and off-site events.
- Contribute to studio communication and social media support, including tagging and sharing relevant content.
- Organize your lead duties, track your time, communicate progress, and raise workload or priority concerns early.

- Completed comprehensive Pilates instructor training.
- Strong, safe teaching skills and a genuine interest in helping members feel seen, safe, successful, and excited to return.
- Reliability, professionalism, organization, and clear, direct communication.
- A team-oriented approach to leadership and the ability to receive and apply feedback.
- A supportive approach to working with instructors at different experience levels.

Years of experience are not a requirement. We’re interested in someone who demonstrates strong teaching, coachability, reliability, and readiness to support the team.

HIRING PROCESS

Candidates selected to move forward may be invited to a structured interview and a paid teaching audition. The process may also include reference checks and a discussion of a 90-day plan for the role.
