Recreation Coordinator

Wynn Park Villa is currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly) Recreation Coordinator for a 12 week term, with possibility for extension.

Position Scope:

The Recreation Coordinator plans, organizes and directs a program of activities made available to all Residents of Wynn Park Villa. This program is designed to meet the cognitive, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each Resident.

Qualifications:

University/College degree or Diploma in Recreation/Gerontology or related studies; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Standard First Aid and CPR certification

Reliable with good attendance record

Respectful and hardworking team player with professional and courteous manner

Experience working in a Long-Term Care or Home Care Setting an asset

Experience in leading activities and/or programs is an asset

Clear Criminal Record Abstract and Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 pm or similar

*Please note that there are 2 specific dates each month that we would like the coordinator to work 11:30 am to 7:30 pm instead of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, we can provide those dates in advance*
