Technical Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have professional experience and confidence in both men's and women's hair services, including:

- Precision haircuts,



classic cuts, skin fades, tapers, and clipper work.
- Short, medium, and long hairstyles, including scissor cutting and modern styling techniques.
- Hair colouring, including colour application, root touch-ups, highlighting and Toning.
- Understanding and working confidently with straight, wavy, and curly hair textures.
- Knowledge of hair structure, growth patterns, density, texture, and how these affect cutting and styling decisions.
- The ability to consult with clients, understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles, and deliver results that complement their individual needs.
- Proper tool handling, equipment maintenance, workstation preparation, and professional sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality haircuts, colouring services, and styling for clients of different ages, backgrounds, hair types, and preferences.
- Conduct thoughtful consultations and communicate clearly about expectations, suitability, maintenance, and results.
- Maintain a clean, organised, professional workstation throughout every shift.
- Follow all applicable hygiene, disinfection, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Clean and disinfect tools, equipment, chairs, and work surfaces between clients as required.
- Support colleagues, contribute to smooth daily operations, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout the salon.
- Manage appointments and service times professionally without sacrificing quality or client care.
- Respect salon policies, colleagues, clients, and the professional reputation of the business.




- Remain open to constructive feedback, ongoing education, and opportunities to improve.
- Help create an environment where clients feel comfortable, respected, and confident returning.

Work Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time position requiring availability on weekends.

Weekends are among our busiest trading periods, so reliable Saturday and Sunday availability is an essential requirement. Candidates must be comfortable working a full-time schedule that includes weekends, with specific shifts and days off arranged according to the salon's operating hours and staffing needs.

Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to contribute during peak business hours are significant parts of this role.
