Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Site: Hudson's Bay Centre

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Overtime Methodology: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Hudson’s Bay Centre is a landmark mixed-use property located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Blending office, retail, and public spaces, this site serves a active community of tenants, staff, and daily visitors, offering a dynamic work environment focused on safety and excellent service.

What You'll Be Doing

This role is primarily a static assignment where you will maintain a dedicated presence in specific areas of the site for extended periods. Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.

- Conducting regular patrols across mall common areas, entrances, and high-traffic locations.

- Assisting tenants, staff, and visitors with directions, questions, and general customer service.

- Responding calmly and efficiently to site incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and security concerns.

- Monitoring site activities and enforcing safety policies and property regulations.

- Writing clear, detailed daily logs and incident reports in a timely manner.

- Supporting crowd management during peak hours and special events, and assisting emergency services as required.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one prior to starting).

- Valid WSIB-approved First Aid and CPR Level C certification.

- College or university education.

- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Ability to stand, walk, and remain stationed at fixed posts for extended periods.

Nice-to-Haves

- Prior experience in security, retail, or customer service environments.

- Robust interpersonal and communication skills.

- Good situational awareness and report writing ability.
