Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team both as a member of the team and also as a Supervisor.

This role is a hybrid position of serving & bartending, as well as supervising. Responsibilities will vary depending on the day and the number of reservations and/or functions booked.

You will be providing exceptional customer service in a lively restaurant and bar environment, ensuring guests have memorable dining and drinking experiences.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage service and in a management or supervisory capacity.

Also, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Knowledge of the Clover Flex POS system is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

- Accurately take and record guest orders for food and beverages, including alcohol service
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality, using our seating system and not auctioning food
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar area, tables, and service stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine, beer, cocktails, and food pairings
- Assist in setting up large-group, private, catering, or banquet events as needed
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and handle any customer needs, requests, or concerns professionally
- Promote menus, events, and specialty nights to guests, creating multi-occasion visits and building regularity and frequency
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and monitor guest behaviour to promote safety

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, fine dining, or hospitality environments; nightclub or banquet experience is a plus




- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables, bar orders, and/or takeout orders efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and making accurate change
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with local laws
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with catering, brewing knowledge, barista, retail math proficiency, and familiarity with food industry standards

Pay: $17.95-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week

With notice, we are flexible with requests and vacation days, but the focus is on the guest experience, especially during the holiday season, with many busy nights and weekends. We are closed on most statutory holidays. We serve Weekend Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. You will be required to work nights and weekends and may occasionally be scheduled for split shifts.
