We’re looking for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented cleaner to join our growing team! This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys keeping spaces clean, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive small business.
The Position
- Job Type: Part-time
- Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to increase to 15–20 hours per week as training progresses and client demand grows
- Schedule: Flexible weekday scheduling, with availability generally required between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM
- Location: Client homes throughout Durham Region
- Training: Paid, hands-on training provided
- Supplies: Cleaning products and equipment provided
We’re looking for someone with consistent weekday availability who is interested in growing with our business over time.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine residential cleaning in clients’ homes
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and other assigned areas
- Dust surfaces, vacuum, mop, and clean fixtures and appliances
- Follow established cleaning checklists and company procedures
- Pay close attention to detail and maintain consistent cleaning standards
- Treat clients, their homes, pets, and belongings with care and respect
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and ready for each shift
- Communicate professionally about scheduling, client needs, and any concerns
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is:
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a thorough job
- Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, reaching, lifting cleaning equipment, and working on stairs
- Able to work independently while following established systems and instructions
- Respectful of clients’ privacy, homes, and personal belongings
- Comfortable working around household pets
- Willing to learn and accept constructive feedback
- Available on weekdays, generally between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between client homes throughout Durham Region
- Clear criminal background check
Previous residential or commercial cleaning experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person!
