Director, Manufacturing & Operations | Industrialized Construction

About the role

Morson is hiring for an cutting-edge industrialized construction company that’s building its first Vancouver production facility. That site will become the blueprint for larger plants across Canada and Europe. You’ll lead manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, facilities and logistics from day one.

What you’ll do

- Set up and run the Vancouver facility, starting with small-volume production
- Own safety, quality, productivity and delivery, measured through clear KPIs
- Lead production planning, scheduling and capacity management
- Direct procurement, sourcing, inventory and supplier performance
- Oversee facilities, maintenance, equipment and capital improvements
- Manage transportation, warehousing and logistics
- Hire and develop the initial operations team, and plan its growth over the next three years
- Partner with leadership on budgets, operating plans and long-term strategy

What you bring

- A degree in Engineering, Operations,



Supply Chain, Business or a related field
- Progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Experience leading several functions at once (manufacturing, procurement, logistics, facilities)
- Budget ownership and a metrics-driven approach
- ERP/MRP experience
- Nice to have: building products, construction or engineered products experience; Lean or Six Sigma; a past facility launch or expansion

Pay: $170,000.00-$185,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- industrialized, modular or prefab construction: 2 years (required)
- product development, engineering or architecture: 7 years (required)
