Happy Kids Nutrition Academy is looking for an engaging online educator to teach Introduction to Mental Health & Nutrition for Teens, an 8-week live course for learners ages 13 to 18. You'll lead two 45-minute Zoom classes per week, guiding teens through how nutrition affects mental health: the gut-brain axis, key nutrients for mood and brain function, and practical strategies for building sustainable habits. The curriculum and lesson materials are already built; your job is to deliver them with warmth, clarity, and real conversation.
Schedule (must be available for the full run):
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 PM AST (Atlantic Time), from January 4 to February 24, 2027. Both days are required for the entire 8 weeks: this is a fixed section, so please only apply if you can commit to these times and dates.
What you'll do:
- Teach live 45-minute classes on a set weekly schedule (2 sessions per week for 8 weeks)
- Keep learners engaged through discussion, questions, and practical examples that connect to their daily lives
- Provide feedback on submitted homework
- Answer parent and learner questions
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or health science.
- Experience teaching or working with teens, ideally in a live online setting
- Comfortable on camera and confident leading a group of up to 6 learners
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet space for class
- Solid written English and clear, patient communication with families
- Able to work independently and follow an established curriculum
Nice to have: formal teaching experience, and Canva familiarity.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 per week
