Full Job Description

Shoreway Drywall is seeking an experienced Drywall Foreman to lead crews on ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) high-rise construction projects.The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive drywall system knowledge, and experience managing large-scale high-rise site operations.

This role requires the ability to coordinate multiple crews, meet strict construction schedules, and maintain high safety and quality standards on complex ICI projects.

Responsibilities

- Supervise drywall installers, steel stud framers, tapers, and labourers on ICI high-rise job sites
- Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings
- Oversee installation of drywall assemblies, steel stud framing, shaftwall systems, fire-rated assemblies, boarding, taping, and finishing
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, OHSA requirements, and company policies
- Communicate and coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, and general contractors
- Track productivity, manpower requirements, and project progress
- Order and manage materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Train and mentor crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

- 5+ years drywall experience (ICI / high-rise experience required)
- Previous foreman or supervisory experience on large construction projects




- Strong knowledge of drywall and steel stud systems, fire-rating assemblies, and high-rise construction practices
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and site layouts
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in physically demanding and fast-paced environments

Schedule

- 8–10 hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and occasional weekends as required
