Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and valued from the moment they step in.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times and optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant’s services, hours, and reservations.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold a welcoming environment.
- Assist guests with special requests or seating preferences,
ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros POS to manage reservations or seating assignments when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear interpersonal interactions.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems such as Micros POS, is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience in hotel or restaurant settings can be advantageous but is not required; a positive attitude and customer-focused mindset are essential.
