Job Overview

- Provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals who need assistance with daily living, promoting their safety, dignity, independence, and community participation.
- Support maywill take care in an assisted living setting. There is community access involved with this role.
- This role will involve personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and support with routines. Follow each person’s care plan and workplace procedures.

Responsibilities

- Assist with daily activities and patient care while encouraging independence and respecting personal preferences.
- Provide care and support for individuals with disabilities.
- Help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and other caregiving tasks as assigned and within your training.
- Prepare meals according to individual preferences, dietary instructions, and care plans.
- Support medication administration only as authorized, trained, and permitted by applicable policies and regulations.
- Perform cleaning and help maintain a safe, tidy living environment.
- Observe and report changes in a person’s condition, behavior, or needs.
- Communicate respectfully with individuals, families, and colleagues, and maintain confidentiality.




- Follow safety procedures when assisting with mobility or heavy lifting; use approved equipment and request assistance when needed.

Qualifications

- Experience in caregiving, home care, senior care, or patient care is valued.
- Assisted living, nursing home, nursing, hospice care, or dementia care experience is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is welcome.
- Comfortable assisting with personal care, cleaning, and meal preparation.
- Medication administration experience is helpful; any medication-related duties require appropriate training and authorization.
- Able to communicate with compassion, follow care plans, and maintain qualified boundaries.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the role, which may include standing, walking, assisting with mobility, and occasional heavy lifting using safe practices.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 36.0 per week
