We are seeking a motivated and reliable Sales Associate / Stocker to join our Surrey location.

This position combines retail sales, customer service, inventory replenishment, stocking, and merchandising. The successful candidate will assist customers in finding the right products while ensuring shelves are fully stocked, merchandise is properly displayed, and the store remains clean and organized.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced retail environment, takes initiative, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable balancing customer service with physical stocking responsibilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Sales Associate / Stocker plays an important role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting sales growth, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the store is well-stocked, clean, and organized.

The successful candidate will balance customer-facing sales responsibilities with stocking, merchandising, and store maintenance duties based on daily operational needs.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Customer Service

- Greet customers professionally and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and guidance on power tools, hand tools, accessories, and related products.
- Support sales growth by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable products.
- Build positive relationships with contractors, tradespeople, and retail customers.
- Assist customers with product availability, pricing, and inventory inquiries.
- Identify upselling opportunities and recommend complementary products.
- Maintain a professional, helpful, and customer-focused approach.
- Support the sales team and Store Manager in achieving daily store objectives.

Stocking & Merchandising

- Stock shelves and replenish merchandise throughout the sales floor.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are properly organized and displayed.
- Unpack merchandise and prepare products for display.
- Maintain accurate product placement, shelf labels, and pricing tags.
- Monitor shelf inventory and identify products requiring replenishment.
- Assist with promotional displays, product setups, and seasonal merchandising.
- Rotate stock and maintain organized overstock areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Report damaged products, stock shortages, and inventory discrepancies to management.
- Keep shelves, aisles, and display areas clean, organized, and customer-friendly.

General Store Responsibilities

- Participate in daily store floor walks and assist with maintaining store standards.
- Work closely with the sales team and management to support daily store operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrate accuracy, efficiency,



reliability, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Stay up to date on product knowledge, promotions, and new arrivals.
- Assist with additional store-related duties as assigned by management.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Minimum 1 year of retail sales, customer service, or stocking experience preferred.
- Experience in the power tool, hardware, construction, or industrial retail industry is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and accessories, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while completing stocking and merchandising tasks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely use ladders when required.
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory systems.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

- Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Five-day workweek
- Saturday availability is required
- Sundays and statutory holidays off
- Day shifts with no evening work
