Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support in our optical retail environment. This position involves assisting customers with their eyewear needs, scheduling appointment and administrative duties that ensures a smooth operation of day-to-day tasks.

Duties

- Greet and assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their needs and preferences.
- Provide information on lens options, frame styles, and pricing to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Assist with the fitting of eyewear, including adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Maintain an organized inventory of optical products, ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are visually appealing.
- Book appointments and verify insurances.
- Pre-testing patients before they see the Optometrist
- Stay updated on industry trends, recent products,



and medical terminology related to optics to better assist customers.

Skills

- Strong sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction in a retail environment.
- Experience in laboratory settings is advantageous for understanding the technical aspects of eyewear production.
- Background in retail management or retail sales enhances the ability to drive store performance.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is beneficial for effective communication with customers and professionals in the field.
