Job Summary

We are hiring a Construction & Warranty Service Technician for Green Cedar Homes in Calgary, Alberta to support new-home quality control and warranty service. In this field-based position, you will inspect homes, assess service concerns, complete minor repairs, coordinate trade partners, maintain accurate records, and provide homeowners with timely information throughout the service process.

Responsibilities

· Inspect homes, document deficiencies, and coordinate corrections before possession.

· Support construction work while maintaining quality, code compliance, cleanliness, and safety.

· Complete scheduled warranty visits, including 3-, 10-, and 12-month service as applicable.

· Assess coverage and responsibility under company agreements and Alberta’s Construction Performance Guide.

· Complete minor repairs and coordinate specialized trade work through homeowner sign-off.

· Track service requests, materials, purchase orders, and on-call assignments to completion.

· Resolve service and maintenance issues across company and customer properties.

· Explain timelines, responsibilities, and resolutions clearly to homeowners.

· Maintain accurate service, warranty, purchasing, inventory, and expense records.

· Report hazards, equipment issues, and recurring deficiencies promptly.

· Identify recurring issues, recommend improvements, and complete monthly property walkthroughs.





· Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment; follow safety policies and training.

· Coordinate schedules and follow-up with internal teams, trades, and homeowners.

Requirements

· Relevant experience in residential construction, warranty, maintenance, home service, or an equivalent combination of related experience and training.

· Practical troubleshooting and minor-repair skills.

· Accurate recordkeeping, safe work practices, and explicit homeowner communication.

· Ability to manage tasks independently and coordinate trade partners.

· Work across construction sites, occupied homes, offices, show homes, and unsold or presold homes.

· Work occasional extended hours, weekends, and on-call rotations.
