Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 07:00 - 19:00

Site Overview

Erie Shores Healthcare is a 24/7, 58-bed hospital facility providing essential emergency, surgical, inpatient, and specialist clinic services to the Essex County community. With a steady flow of patients and visitors, this location relies on a strong security presence to safeguard entrances, parking facilities, and high-sensitivity zones such as the Emergency Room and Maternity unit.

What You'll Be Doing

- Patrol hospital grounds, hallways, patient rooms, parking areas, and entry points to maintain site security.

- Manage access control at entrances, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted zones.

- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, addressing and reporting any unusual activity promptly.

- Respond quickly to emergencies, security threats, and fire alarms, supporting clinical staff during critical events and evacuations.

- De-escalate challenging situations and resolve conflicts professionally and calmly.

- Provide assistance and direction to patients, visitors, and staff while upholding hospital policies.

- Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.

- Work in close coordination with hospital personnel and local law enforcement.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security License

- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor

- College or University education

- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin's free pre-requisite training program (requires a 6-month commitment)

- Proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine

- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two-step TB skin test





- Fluency in English (written and oral)

- Legal authorization to work in Canada

- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
