Job Overview

Green Coast Catering Ltd., an established year-round food truck and catering company, is hiring experienced Line Cooks for our high-volume food operations at the Langley Christmas Village.

We’re looking for skilled, reliable cooks who thrive in fast-paced kitchens, work well as part of a team, and take pride in producing excellent food.

You’ll be working at one of our popular European-inspired food concepts, including:

Bavarian Rotisserie Co. – A brand-new, state-of-the-art rotisserie operation featuring three large cathedral-style rotisseries, specializing in traditional Bavarian roasted pork hocks.

North Shore Bratwurst Haus – A busy German street food operation serving grilled bratwurst and currywurst.

Mom’s Grilled Cheese – A high-volume gourmet grilled cheese operation featuring freshly prepared sandwiches and hot tomato soup.

These positions offer an exciting opportunity to work in a lively European-style Christmas market atmosphere with professional equipment, established cooking procedures, and a supportive management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and serve food according to established recipes and procedures.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.




- Operate commercial cooking equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure fast, efficient service.
- Assist with food preparation, inventory restocking, and daily production.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen managers and fellow employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous professional cooking experience required.
- Experience working in busy restaurants, commercial kitchens, catering, or high-volume food service.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong understanding of commercial kitchen operations and food safety.
- Comfortable working with commercial cooking equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn established production systems.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts during the Christmas market.

Experience with grilling, roasting, short-order cooking, or high-volume food production is an asset.

Formal culinary qualifications are not required. We value practical experience, reliability,



and a strong work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits

- $24–$28/hour, depending on experience.
- Full participation in our employee tip-sharing pool, with a guaranteed minimum of $7/hour in tips.
- Minimum combined compensation of $31–$35/hour, before overtime, with the potential to earn more.
- Paid overtime in accordance with BC employment standards.
- Regular payroll employment — not an independent contractor position.
- Vacation pay, CPP, and Employment Insurance through payroll.
