Architectural Designer (Freelance / Contract) – Building Permit Drawings

Location: Calgary, AB (Local preferred; remote candidates with strong Canadian experience considered)

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer or Architectural Technologist to prepare drawings for a City of Calgary Building Permit application.

Project

Renovation of an existing 2-storey commercial building at 220 Crowchild Trail NW (main floor coffee shop ≈ 1,000 sq.ft. + second floor office).

Scope of Work

- Cover sheet and code analysis
- Key Plan / Site Plan
- Existing and Proposed floor plans
- Exterior elevations
- Building sections
- Fire separation details, construction notes, and basic code compliance information

Requirements





- Experience preparing architectural drawings for City of Calgary / Alberta Building Code permit applications
- Robust attention to detail and ability to follow mark-ups
- Reliable communication
- Preference for candidates based in Calgary or Alberta
