Overview

We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator/Material Handler to support daily warehouse distribution operations. This hands-on role involves safely moving, storing, and retrieving materials, as well as preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Forklift and warehouse systems training may be provided based on experience.

Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stage products safely.
- Use a clamp truck when needed to handle appropriate materials.
- Pick, verify, and prepare orders using pick lists or electronic instructions.
- Operate an order picker to retrieve products from warehouse locations.
- Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials; report discrepancies or damage.
- Record inventory movements and order activity in a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Follow warehouse procedures for product handling, storage, and shipment preparation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep work areas orderly and follow established safety practices.




- Coordinate with warehouse teammates and supervisors to meet daily workflow needs.

Skills

- Experience in warehouse distribution, material handling, or a similar setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely; experience with a clamp truck and order picker is an advantage.
- Familiarity with a warehouse management system or willingness to learn.
- Understanding of order picking, inventory handling, and shipment preparation.
- Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and checking order details.
- Mechanical knowledge or the ability to recognize equipment issues is helpful.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and remain active throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
